Rebekah A. Koeller,
Executive Director
Becky received her B.S. from Western Washington University in Environmental Science and Environmental Education, focusing on community development. Following graduation she joined the US Peace Corps as a volunteer for three years in the Philippines where she taught adventure education in urban and rural areas. She has nine-years of experience teaching adventure education to youth and adults of all backgrounds worldwide. Becky has extensive experience in NGO development, leading adventure trips, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, backpacking, teaching outdoor education and teambuilding activities. She’s a certified EMT, kayaking instructor, Ropes Course Facilitator, and Lifeguard. Her passion is help youth realize their full potential and to reveal their inner-strength needed to navigate through their lives. She believes that hands-on challenges reveal how unique each youth is and that they can reach their dreams and goals through the use of life skills, while experiencing nature in a profound way.

John Coombs, Program
Director
Originally from Ann Arbor Michigan he loves to go backpacking, kayaking, and cycling. His backpacking adventures have taken him around northern Michigan, the Great Smokey Mountains, the Grand Canyon, and Glacier National Park in Montana. John received his B.S. in Environmental Conservation from Northern Michigan University and his M.S. in Community, Agriculture, Recreation, and Resource Studies from Michigan State University where he researched program planning at environmental education centers. John has been working with youth and environmental education programs since High School at various locations like Gordonwood Summer Camp, Michigan Department of Natural Resources at Brighton State Recreation Area, and at Camp Miniwanca. John is certified as a Wilderness First Responder, Archery Instructor, and a Wildland Fire Fighter. He has solid experience in backpacking, camping, kayaking, Ropes Course facilitation, and working with youth of varying ages and backgrounds.

Jessica Canady, Contract
Labor
Jessica is currently in her last
semester at Texas State University and is
studying for a B.A. in Health and Wellness
Promotion. She has worked with youth ranging
from 8-18years old for over 5 years at
summer camps as a counselor as well as an
Activities Director at Camp Capers. In
college she was a member of Native American
Student Association which promotes Native
American awareness to the community. She was
also a part of a student organization called
The Network which spoke to college aged
students about Alcohol and substance abuse,
body image, nutrition, stress and anxiety.
Jessica likes to go camping and hiking on
her free time, the White Sands in NM is her
favorite place to hike. Jessica is First
Aid/CPR certified and has had EMT-Basic
training. |
